Do I have a skin routine? Nope, should I? Probably! I’ve always kept it fairly simple when it comes to looking after my skin day to day - I’ve never worn foundation (I stick to bronzer instead), I always wash my face twice a day and I try to avoid touching it as much as possible. I know that drinking too much alcohol and eating greasy food makes it breakout (but I still do it), and I occasionally use a fake tan to give me a little colour boost – simple.
One thing I will always swear by though, is regular exfoliation. I’ve exfoliated at least twice a week for a few years now purely because, well, I’m getting on a bit. My skin definitely lacks that glow and freshness I had back in my twenties and fine lines and wrinkles are now a reality (sob).
The Charcoal Effect
I’ve been using the exfoliator 3 times a week now for the last 4 weeks and the biggest difference I’ve seen is to my pores. I have oily skin and have always struggled with clogged pores, especially in my t-zone area. A big selling point of this product was the activated charcoal ingredients which claims to help clear deep-seated pores. I can definitely see the difference switching to Procoal has made compared my usual supermarket bought exfoliator, my t-zone seems fresher and my pores appear smaller - yay!
There’re so many other amazing ingredients in this product too, one of which is pumice, meaning, yep you guessed it, my skin feels so incredibly soft afterwards as it helps remove all the surface dead skin cells – it reminds me of the feeling you have after a facial.
This photo is 100% unfiltered, fresh out the shower and absolutely no make-up (just my lash extensions) - the results speak for themselves, right!
Procoal’s products only use animal cruelty free ingredients, which is a huge must for me, it’s also made in the UK and is free from parabens and paraffin – so it’s a big yes from me all round.
If you fancy giving Procoal's Activated Charcoal Exfoliating Face Scrub a go, there’s a huge £11 saving at the moment, reduced from £19.99 to only £8.99 – so hurry guys!
Thanks again to Procoal for letting my test this out, pretty please can I have more :)
